It is that time of year again where, here at Dimpsey, we are enjoying the weather starting to warm up and the Sun beaming out through the clouds. With Summer just around the corner, here is our list of what is on in Somerset this June.
This year, St Mary’s Church in Ilchester will be holding a commemoration for 100 years since the end of the First World War. However, it isn’t just the commemoration of the Armistice that they will be holding on the 8th – a Traditional Street Fayre will also be held on the 23rd June for everyone to take part in and enjoy.
If you are a lover of canines, or perhaps even have one yourself, then the Doggy Day Out held in Forde Abbey is the event for you. From pet products stalls to agility and obstacle courses, there is plenty for you to do, as well as exploring Forde Abbey itself!

From the circus to a whole host of musical genres, the SomerFest in Taunton is a fun-filled day out for everybody. Featuring local and national talent and entertainers, it is an event surely not to be missed.
For all local celebrations, why not take part in the Yeovil Street Party! With a range of food available to purchase and eat, as well as music and other entertainment, it makes a wonderful day out.
