We’ve coined the hashtag #escapefromthebusy

But what do we really mean by that?

A trip to the country is on everyone’s wishlist this year it seems and boy, oh boy are we going to need that break.  They say that absence makes the heart grow fonder, and after the last lockdown, we certainly found that our guests were craving simpler breaks – taking time to drink in the views and the fields, the gorgeousness of the huts and of course, the lure of the outdoor fires.

Glamping is a term that covers a huge range of options, so we sometimes find that guests aren’t quite sure what they’re signing up for.  The Dimpsey version of glamping has always been all about 5* in a field.  So everything you need will be here, you won’t get muddy walking to your accommodation and a comfy night’s sleep is guaranteed.

You’ll walk in and the interior of our Blackdown Shepherd Huts will enchant you, the hidey holes and clever storage will intrigue you and most guests end up making a list of the gorgeous maker’s product that we use in the shepherd huts.

Staying in or going out you’ll find most things that you need are available, our job is to try and know that you might need it and make sure it’s there – so if we have any gaps, please let us know.  We want you to be delighted and able to easily settle in to your break.

If you’re foodies, we know all the good places to eat and we share them with you and if you’re eating in we have a wood-fired oven and can supply meat and/or veggies for you to indulge your inner gourmet.

Which does bring us to the outside.  With the interiors, we have quietly tried to make sure your every need is catered for, this carries on to the outside experience with the woodfired hottub, oven and firepit, but that’s where it ends (in a nice way!). Our theory here is why meddle with perfection, Mother Nature does a fabulous job and you should experience her in her best form, naturally and as she comes.

So, you have plenty of logs and sticks, blankets and marshmallows – all the pre-requisites of camping at its best – we like to think of it as indulgent wild, a way for you to experience the best of both worlds.

In a nutshell, that’s your escape – not rushed, not pulled in lots of different directions, not busy at all – unfolding as slowly or as quickly as you want to go.  An escape from the busy in the truest sense – the cosy, snooze-a-day, do as you please escape.
